Venus once again defended her title from the previous year. In a reverse from last year, Venus eased her way to the QFs before then needing 3 setters to find her way through. In the QFs against Pous Tio, Venus trailed 5-1 in the third before staging another infamous comeback. Venus then beat Gallovits in 3 sets and then beat Polona Hercog 2-6 6-2 6-3 in the Final.
